The Four Layers of BMIC Quantum Protection

Layer 1: NIST-Standard PQC Algorithms

BMIC implements the full NIST PQC suite:

• FIPS 203 (CRYSTALS-Kyber) — Quantum-safe key encapsulation for secure key exchange
• FIPS 204 (CRYSTALS-Dilithium) — Quantum-safe digital signatures for transaction signing
• FIPS 205 (SPHINCS+) — Conservative hash-based backup signatures

These replace ECDSA and ECDH — the algorithms quantum computers can break.

Layer 2: ERC-4337 Smart Contract Wallet

Standard Ethereum wallets are hardcoded to use ECDSA. BMIC uses ERC-4337 account abstraction to create wallets that use CRYSTALS-Dilithium for signing. This works today, on Ethereum, without waiting for protocol changes.

Layer 3: Signature Hiding

BMIC's architecture includes signature-hiding technology. Even if a future quantum computer could process Dilithium (highly unlikely — but as a defense-in-depth measure), the signature itself is obfuscated, adding another barrier to attack.

Layer 4: Quantum-Resistant Key Generation

Keys are generated using quantum-safe randomness sources. The key generation process itself uses post-quantum algorithms to ensure that even the key creation process is quantum-secure.
